Bissell Aeroswift Review

Bissell AeroSwift – No Bags, Easy to Clean Filter, and Instant Bin Cleanup

Bissell AeroSwift is a bag free upright vacuum, initially designed for cleaning both hard surfaces, carpets, and upholstery. Its 7-amp motor is not very powerful, but the vacuum copes with everyday vacuuming well.

The Bissell AeroSwift compact bagless vacuum, 1009 is 12 x 13.5 x 29.25 inches in size, weighing 12 pounds. It’s not the lowest weight, but a handle on top of the canister helps carry it around the house effortlessly. The 12-inch cleaning path is not the widest, requiring more passes per session to clean the room. On the other side, such a width allows reaching tight areas.

The hose is 8 feet long, reaching 10 feet with an extension wand. The 30-foot power cord is enough for cleaning a medium room without changing sockets. A 1-liter container is relatively small, requiring emptying it repeatedly, especially if there is much pet hair on the surfaces.

The Bissell AeroSwift compact bagless vacuum works excellent on both carpets and hard floors without scratching them. Besides, it doesn’t leave depressed marks working on furry rugs and carpets.

Five settings are available to adjust the head’s height, depending on the carpet piles’ length. The lowest height is right for hardwood, tile, or linoleum floors. However, the head is too large to clean stairs and edges carefully. The vacuum has a floor-cleaning mode that activates by pressing the handle release lever.

The cyclonic tech allows the container to stay empty for a longer period of time, since it separates the finest dust from dirt, collecting it inside a smaller chamber called the BISSELL AeroSwift filter. The latter should be cleaned regularly for tough performance. For this purpose, it’s necessary to remove the tank and then twist a filter and wipe it with a dry rag. Then, the user should check the foam filter in the front of the machine to take the debris out of the tray, rinse the filter, and dry it before getting it into place.

Emptying the garbage can is very easy thanks to a push release button that opens the vacuum’s bottom to shake out the dust. It would be great to get a full-bin indicator since people have to monitor how full the tank is.

TheBissell AeroSwift upright vacuum is engineered with quick release and carry handles, having a filter tray and a height adjustment knob above the head. The power foot pedal is on the head, making it easy to turn the vacuum on or off. The handle release lever and the height adjustment dial are next to the power pedal.

The set of attachments includes a rotating TurboBrush, extension wand, crevice tool, and quick-release handle. It is also possible to install the Febreze vacuum filter to eliminate odors. The only inconvenience is that the base brush keeps spinning while the user is removing the hose to use the attachment.

Those who used to vacuum every day will be happy with this model’s work. However, they should look for another machine to remove stubborn dirt because this unit lacks power. The Bissell AeroSwift compact upright vacuum is a real catch for users that don’t like to bother with cloth or paper bags.
